You don’t have to figure it out alone

PARENTING SUPPORT

Parenting is meaningful, rewarding, and also really hard sometimes. Whether you’re looking for support with specific challenges or want space to reflect and grow in your parenting, you’re in the right space.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Do you find yourself wondering:

“Was that the best way
to teach or communicate
with my child?”

“How did my child
hear what I told them?”

“Why wont my child listen?”

If so, individual or group work may be a good fit for you and/or your family.

INDIVIDUAL OFFERINGS

Explore, understand, and grow in your parenting.

Individual counseling and parenting support may be a good fit for you and your family if you find yourself considering your childhood experiences and using these as a parenting guide.

As natural as this may seem, the children we have may not need the parenting we needed ourselves as children. In individual work, we can develop some insight into challenges you experienced as a child, determine if there is any impact on your parenting currently, and learn new skills to parent the child you have now. Children are always growing and changing, and the parenting they need is constantly changing as well.

Although Becca is not a parent herself, she is trained in working with parents to set appropriate limits and expectations through her Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT) and Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) trainings. She also meets with a supervision group biweekly regarding these types of challenges and consults with additional professionals as needed. If interested, you can learn more regarding her qualifications on her about page.

Modeling appropriate behaviors

Compassionate limit-setting

Group parenting support remains confidential and invites parents to meet with Becca and other parents regarding the similar and different challenges parents face at various stages of their child’s life. If you’re feeling somewhat isolated and wondering how other parents are managing challenges with their child, or would like some additional tools and feedback regarding what’s been effective for other parents, group parenting support may be a good fit for you.
